Genesis Lease Deals August 2026: Every Model Ranked

August 2026 is the month Genesis swapped rate for cash. The G70, the 2026 G80, the GV60, and seven of eight GV80 SUV trims moved from near-zero money factors up to about 0.00235 (5.64% APR), with lease cash climbing to $4,000 to $11,750. Payments only rose $1 to $11/month. The real gains are elsewhere: the GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced dropped $63/month to about $784 at 3.60% APR, and all three GV80 Coupes fell $43 to $50/month. The GV70 2.5T trims cost about $20/month more, and the 2027 G80 2.5T is now the best rate in the brand at 1.20% APR. The lineup still resets to 6.77% APR at 39 months.

Genesis pulled the near-zero rates in August and paid you in cash instead. The G70, the 2026 G80, the GV60, and most of the GV80 SUV moved from money factors near 0.00005 up to about 0.00235 (5.64% APR). In exchange, lease cash jumped to $4,000 to $11,750. Payments barely felt it: most of those trims moved $1 to $11/month.

The real money moved somewhere else. The GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced got a genuine rate cut and dropped $63/month, the biggest single improvement in the brand. The GV80 Coupe finally got a meaningful cut too, about $43 to $50/month across all three trims. On the other side, the GV70 2.5T trims cost about $20/month more after Genesis trimmed their lease cash. The 39-month wall still sits at 6.77% APR.

August 2026 Lineup: Rate Swapped for Cash

The Genesis lineup split into two halves this month. Half of it is now a cash structure: the G70, the 2026 G80, the GV60, and seven of eight GV80 SUV trims all sit near 5.45% to 5.71% APR with big lease cash behind them. The other half is a rate structure: the 2027 G80 at 1.20% APR, the GV80 3.5T Prestige Black AWD at 1.46%, the GV80 Coupe at 2.74%, and the Electrified GV70 at 0.10%.

Know which one you are shopping. On a cash trim, the number to fight for is the lease cash actually applied to the cap. On a rate trim, the number to fight for is the buy-rate money factor. Genesis is not giving you both on the same car this month.

What actually changed July to August

Twenty-two trims made the rate-for-cash swap: six G70s, all five 2026 G80s, all four GV60s, and seven GV80 SUVs. Five trims got a true rate cut with the payment to match: the GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced, the GV70 3.5T Sport Prestige, and all three GV80 Coupes. Four GV70 2.5T trims got worse. The three Electrified GV70s and the G70 3.3T Prestige Graphite AWD carried July's numbers unchanged.

Verdict: Lineup

Best payment in the brand is the G70 2.5T AWD at ~$540/month. Best rate is the 2027 G80 2.5T at 1.20% APR. Biggest improvement is the GV70 3.5T Sport Advanced at ~$784, down $63. Stay at 24 or 36 months everywhere.

G70: Rate Gone, $8,000 Cash In

The G70 made the biggest structural change and the smallest payment change. Six trims went from money factors near zero to about 0.00230 to 0.00237 (5.50% to 5.69% APR). Lease cash went the other way: the 3.3T Sport Prestige pair jumped to $8,000, the 2.5T Prestige RWD to $7,500, and the 2.5T AWD to $7,250. Net effect: $2 to $4/month more.

The 2.5T AWD is the payment leader in the entire Genesis lineup at ~$540/month. The 3.3T Prestige Graphite AWD is the one G70 that did not move at all: still MF 0.00107 (2.57% APR), $0 base cash, ~$850/month. Unchanged from July.

G70: July to August change

Six trims swapped rate for cash. The 2.5T AWD went from MF 0.00005 with $1,750 cash to MF 0.00235 with $7,250, a $3/month increase to ~$540. The 3.3T Sport Prestige RWD went from $1,500 cash to $8,000 and rose $3 to ~$638. The 3.3T Prestige Graphite RWD picked up $4,000 of new cash and rose $2 to ~$812. The 3.3T Prestige Graphite AWD is unchanged from July.

Verdict: G70

Still the cheapest way into a Genesis. The 2.5T AWD at ~$540/month leads the brand and the 3.3T Sport Prestige pair carries $8,000 of cash. Because the payment now rides on cash rather than rate, get the cash amount itemized on the worksheet before you sign.

G80: The 2026 Takes the Cash, the 2027 Takes the Rate

The 2026 G80 has the largest lease cash in the brand. All five trims made the swap: money factors moved to 0.00232 to 0.00235 (5.57% to 5.64% APR) and cash climbed to $8,500 to $11,750. The base 2.5T went from $2,750 to $9,750 and still only costs $11/month more at ~$720. The 3.5T Prestige Black carries $11,750.

The 2027 G80 is the rate car now. The 2.5T runs MF 0.00050 (1.20% APR) with a 58% residual, versus 5.64% on the 2026. On payment the 2026 still wins, but only by about $21: ~$720 versus ~$741. If you plan to buy the car at lease end, the 2027 is the better structure. If you just want the lowest payment, take the 2026 and its cash.

G80: July to August change

All five 2026 trims swapped rate for cash and cost $10 to $11/month more. The 2.5T went from MF 0.00003 with $2,750 to MF 0.00235 with $9,750, ~$709 to ~$720. The 3.5T Prestige Black went from $2,000 to $11,750 cash, ~$981 to ~$991. On the 2027 side the moves were small: the 2.5T eased to MF 0.00050, the 2.5T Advanced rose to MF 0.00119 on a residual that went up a point, and the 3.5T Sport Prestige is unchanged from July.

Verdict: G80

Take the 2026 2.5T at ~$720/month if you want the lowest payment, and make sure all $9,750 of lease cash lands on the cap. Take the 2027 2.5T at ~$741 and 1.20% APR if you want the cheapest rent charge or plan to buy at lease end. The gap is $21/month, so this is a real choice, not a formality.

G90: Rate Up, Residual Up, Payment Flat

The G90 went the other direction on rate and got paid back in residual. Money factors rose to 0.00103 to 0.00112 (2.47% to 2.69% APR), and residuals went up a point on all three trims at the same time. The two cancel out. The 3.5T sits at ~$1,419/month, the e-SC at ~$1,593, and the e-SC Prestige Black at ~$1,632. That is within a dollar of July on every trim.

There is still no base cash on the G90. The payment is sticker and residual, nothing else. Genesis carries larger conditional support here than on most of the lineup, so ask what you qualify for before you accept the base number.

Verdict: G90

Same car, same payment, slightly worse rate. The 3.5T at ~$1,419/month is still the value point, and 2.47% to 2.69% APR is clean for a six-figure flagship. Nothing here changed enough to move your decision either way.

Electrified GV70 + GV60: One Untouched, One Flipped to Cash

The Electrified GV70 is unchanged from July. All three trims hold at 0.10% to 0.14% APR with 48% to 49% residuals and $500 to $1,000 of cash. Payments are the same ~$923, ~$1,000, and ~$1,088. The rate is nearly free and the depreciation is brutal. Same trade-off as last month.

The GV60 made the swap. All four trims went to about 0.00227 to 0.00234 (5.45% to 5.62% APR), and Genesis added cash where there was none: $7,750 on the Performance AWD, $4,500 on the AWD 19-inch, $4,000 on the RWD, $2,000 on the Advanced 20 AWD. Payments moved $1 to $5/month. The Advanced 20 AWD stops being the odd trim out on rate, but it also got the smallest cash, so it stays the weakest GV60 lease at ~$937.

GV60: July to August change

All four trims traded rate for cash. The Performance AWD went from MF 0.00011 and no cash to MF 0.00230 with $7,750, a $5/month increase to ~$995. The RWD went from MF 0.00073 to MF 0.00230 with $4,000 of new cash, up $3 to ~$790. The Advanced 20 AWD moved the least, up $1 to ~$937. Residuals held on all four.

Verdict: EVs

The Electrified GV70 is the same deal it was in July: great rate, heavy depreciation, high payment. On the GV60, the RWD at ~$790/month is still the value pick and the Performance AWD now carries $7,750 of cash. Skip the Advanced 20 AWD, which gets the smallest cash of the four at ~$937.

GV70: The 3.5T Sport Advanced Drops $63

This is the biggest single improvement in the brand. The 3.5T Sport Advanced money factor fell from 0.00230 to 0.00150 (3.60% APR), taking the payment from ~$847 to ~$784/month. That is $63/month, and it happened while the residual dropped a point. The 3.5T Sport Prestige got an even bigger rate cut to 0.00139 (3.34% APR), but it lost all $2,500 of its lease cash, so it only came down $9 to ~$953.

The 2.5T trims went the wrong way. The Select lost $500 of cash and its money factor rose to 0.00237, pushing it up $20 to ~$653. The Advanced lost cash and a residual point, up $19 to ~$730. The Sport Prestige rose $20 to ~$770 on a higher rate and a lower residual. Only the base 2.5T held, at ~$595 with $4,000 of cash.

GV70 3.5T: July to August change

Genesis cut the 3.5T money factors hard. The Sport Advanced went from MF 0.00230 (5.52% APR) to MF 0.00150 (3.60% APR), dropping the payment from ~$847 to ~$784, a $63/month improvement. The Sport Prestige went from MF 0.00231 (5.54% APR) to MF 0.00139 (3.34% APR), but the loss of $2,500 in lease cash held the gain to $9, from ~$963 to ~$953.

GV70 2.5T: July to August change

Three of the four 2.5T trims cost more. The Select went from $4,000 cash to $3,500 with a higher rate, ~$633 to ~$653. The Advanced lost $250 of cash and a residual point, ~$711 to ~$730. The Sport Prestige rose from MF 0.00231 to MF 0.00236 with the residual down a point, ~$750 to ~$770. The base 2.5T is the exception, effectively flat at ~$595 after picking up $500 more cash.

2027 GV70 is landing (launch program)

The 2027 GV70 started pricing in Genesis Finance data this month across six trims, including a new 3.5T Prestige Graphite at the top. Rates run MF 0.00161 to 0.00232 (3.86% to 5.57% APR) with residuals of 62% to 64%, two to four points above the 2026. Launch programs still move, so treat the 2027 as unconfirmed. We will table it once it has a second month of data.

Verdict: GV70

Move up to the 3.5T Sport Advanced this month. At ~$784/month and 3.60% APR it is only $54 more than the 2.5T Advanced, which costs $19 more than it did in July and still runs 5.54%. If you want the cheapest GV70, the base 2.5T at ~$595 with $4,000 of cash is unchanged and still the payment pick.

GV80 + GV80 Coupe: SUV Goes Cash, Coupe Finally Gets a Rate Cut

July's low GV80 SUV rates are gone. Seven of eight trims moved to 0.00228 to 0.00238 (5.47% to 5.71% APR), backed by $5,500 to $7,000 of new lease cash. Payments rose $3 to $6 on most trims and $16 on the 3.5T Prestige AWD. The 2.5T RWD is ~$716 and the 2.5T AWD ~$736.

One GV80 kept its rate. The 3.5T Prestige Black AWD is still at MF 0.00061 (1.46% APR), the best rate in the SUV lineup. It lost its $250 of cash and rose $7 to ~$1,119. That puts it $6 above the 3.5T Prestige AWD, which is cheaper on sticker but runs 5.66% with $6,500 of cash behind it.

The GV80 Coupe got the cut it has needed all year. All three money factors fell: 3.65% to 2.74% APR on the 3.5T, 4.37% to 3.50% on the e-SC, and 4.25% to 3.41% on the e-SC Prestige Black. Payments dropped $43 to $50/month. It is still an expensive lease with no cash, but it is no longer the outlier it was.

2027 GV80 is landing (launch program)

All eight 2027 GV80 trims started pricing this month. Rates run MF 0.00132 to 0.00238 (3.17% to 5.71% APR) with residuals of 59% to 64%, and lease cash is thin at $0 to $2,750 against the $5,500 to $7,000 carried by the seven 2026 trims that made the cash swap. Launch programs still move. The 2026 is the settled deal right now.

Verdict: GV80

The GV80 SUV is still the family pick at ~$716 for the 2.5T RWD, but it is a cash deal now, so confirm the $5,750 hits the cap. The 3.5T Prestige Black AWD at 1.46% APR is the one trim where the rate is the story. The Coupe is finally worth a quote at ~$1,122 for the 3.5T, though it carries no cash at all.

The 39-Month Trap: Genesis Still Resets to 6.77%

Genesis Finance quoted four terms in August: 24, 36, 39, and 48 months. The 39-month term is the trap, and it is identical to July. Every trim in the lineup resets to MF 0.00282 (6.77% APR) at 39 months, with the residual dropping sharply at the same time. Both push the payment up hard.

This matters more now that the lineup runs on cash. A dealer can hold your lease cash constant, stretch you to 39 months, and show you a lower monthly number while the rent charge nearly triples. The 48-month term is not the same single wall rate, but it carries much lower residuals, so it is rarely better either. Stay at 24 or 36 months.

What the term cliff looks like

At 36 months the 2027 G80 2.5T runs MF 0.00050 (1.20% APR) and the GV80 3.5T Prestige Black AWD runs MF 0.00061 (1.46% APR). Move either one to 39 months and it resets to MF 0.00282 (6.77% APR) with a lower residual. That is not a small step. It is a different, far more expensive lease.

Verdict: Term

Stay at 24 or 36 months. Do not let a dealer solve a payment problem by moving you to 39. On Genesis that is a more expensive lease with lower residual support, not an optimization. Confirm the term and the buy-rate MF in writing.

Payment Math & Assumptions

  • Cap cost = MSRP minus base non-conditional incentive. No dealer discount, no cap cost reduction, and no trade equity are included in sample payments.
  • Term: 36 months / 12,000 miles per year. All sample residuals use the 12K tier.
  • Pre-tax and pre-fees. Add state lease tax, acquisition fee, DMV, dealer doc fee, and first payment due at signing.
  • MF is the published base rate. Dealer markup on MF increases rent charge. Confirm buy-rate MF in writing before signing.
  • Formula used: Monthly = (Cap minus Residual) / Term + (Cap + Residual) x MF, where Residual = MSRP x RV%.
  • Conditional offers excluded. Loyalty / conquest / military / college-grad incentives are intentionally excluded from sample monthly estimates.
  • Cash months need the cap itemized. Most of the lineup now buys the payment with lease cash instead of rate, so a dealer can quietly keep part of it. Ask for the gross cap cost, the cap cost reduction, and the money factor as three separate lines.
