Hyundai Lease Deals August 2026: Every Model Ranked
Hyundai spent August moving cash into its SUVs. Every Santa Fe and Santa Fe Hybrid trim except the two SE FWDs picked up $1,500 more Lease Cash, worth about $45/month, and the Palisade Limited AWD dropped $54/month to ~$604. The IONIQ 5 went the other way: residual cuts on all eight trims pushed every payment up $19 to $29/month.
Hyundai spent August moving cash into its midsize and three-row SUVs, and it took the money out of the IONIQ 5. Every Santa Fe and Santa Fe Hybrid trim except the two SE FWDs picked up $1,500 more Lease Cash, worth about $45/month. The Palisade Limited AWD went from $1,500 to $3,300 and dropped ~$54/month, the biggest cut in the lineup. The IONIQ 5 went the other way: residuals fell on all eight trims and every one is more expensive.
The rate sheet barely moved. Most of the lineup is still parked at the 0.0024 wall (5.76% APR), and the money factor changes that did happen are worth $1 to $5/month. One exception is loud: the Tucson PHEV Limited went from 0.00235 to 0.00032 (0.77% APR), the lowest rate Hyundai publishes this month, while its $4,750 Lease Cash went to zero. That trade is worth $9/month. Kona and Santa Cruz did not change at all.

August 2026 Lineup: Cash Moved to the SUVs
August is a cash month, not a rate month. The Santa Fe, Santa Fe Hybrid, Palisade Limited AWD, and three Palisade Hybrid trims all took Lease Cash increases worth $45 to $54/month. The Tucson family shaved $4 to $5/month on small rate cuts. Everything else either moved $1/month or sat still.
The one family that got worse is the IONIQ 5. Hyundai cut residuals on all eight trims by 1 to 3 points and trimmed cash on five of them. Every IONIQ 5 is $19 to $29/month more expensive than it was in July.

MF x 2400 = approximate APR. Best MF is the lowest published buy rate for that model. Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026. *The Santa Fe 0.00138 belongs to the Calligraphy AWD, which pairs the rate subsidy with a 61% residual and the family's smallest Lease Cash.
Santa Fe: $1,500 More Cash on Everything but the SE FWD
Every Santa Fe trim except the SE FWD gained $1,500 in Lease Cash. That is about $45/month off, and it happened without touching the money factor. The SEL AWD went from ~$530 to ~$485, the Limited AWD from ~$629 to ~$584, and the XRT AWD from ~$569 to ~$524.
The SE FWD did not move. It holds $5,000 Lease Cash at 0.0024 (5.76% APR) and ~$416/month, because it already carried the most cash in the family. The interesting trim is the SE AWD: $3,000 cash, a 64% residual that is the highest in the family, and ~$445/month. That is $29/month for all-wheel drive plus six points of residual.
The Calligraphy trims keep the rate subsidy. The Calligraphy AWD holds 0.00138 (3.31% APR) and the Calligraphy FWD 0.00152 (3.65% APR), the two lowest gas rates Hyundai publishes. Both picked up the same $1,500, so the AWD lands at ~$622 and the FWD at ~$602.

The 6-seat and 7-seat Limited cells carry identical rate, residual, and cash, so one row covers both. Limited FWD (~$563) and Calligraphy FWD (~$602) are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Santa Fe: July to August
$1,500 more Lease Cash on every trim except the SE FWD, worth $44 to $45/month. SE AWD ~$491 to ~$445. SEL AWD ~$530 to ~$485. Limited AWD ~$629 to ~$584. Calligraphy AWD ~$666 to ~$622. Money factors and residuals held.
Verdict: Santa Fe
Lease the SE AWD at ~$445/month. The 64% residual is six points better than the SE FWD's and it only costs $29/month more. If you want the cheapest way into a Santa Fe, the SE FWD at ~$416 is unchanged and still fine. Skip the Calligraphy unless you specifically want the 3.31% APR: it is a rate play, not a cheap lease.
Santa Fe Hybrid: The Same $1,500, the Same SE FWD Exception
Hyundai ran the identical play on the hybrid. Every trim except the SE FWD picked up $1,500 in Lease Cash, worth $45/month. The SE AWD went from ~$489 to ~$444, which puts it $1/month under the gas SE AWD at ~$445. Two different powertrains, effectively the same payment.
The SE FWD held at ~$421/month on $4,000 cash and 0.00236 (5.66% APR), the best rate in the family. Higher up, the SEL AWD carries the strongest residual at 63% and lands at ~$482. The Calligraphy AWD dropped from ~$742 to ~$697.

Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Santa Fe Hybrid: July to August
$1,500 more Lease Cash on every trim except the SE FWD, worth $45/month. SE AWD ~$489 to ~$444. SEL AWD ~$528 to ~$482. Limited AWD ~$667 to ~$622. Calligraphy AWD ~$742 to ~$697.
Verdict: Santa Fe Hybrid
The SE AWD at ~$444/month is the buy. It is a hybrid AWD three-row for the same money as the gas SE AWD, and the $1,500 cash add did all the work. If you want the higher residual, the SEL AWD at ~$482 carries 63%. Take the hybrid over the gas car at these numbers.
Palisade: Limited AWD Drops $54/mo and Undercuts the FWD
The Palisade Limited AWD is the single biggest mover in the lineup. Lease Cash more than doubled from $1,500 to $3,300, taking the payment from ~$658 to ~$604/month. That is $54/month, and the rate and residual did not move.
It creates a trap worth knowing. The Limited FWD did not get the cash. It sits at $3,000, a 63% residual, and ~$638/month. The AWD costs $2,000 more on the sticker, carries a 67% residual, and now leases for $34/month less. If a dealer steers you to the FWD Limited to save money, they have it backwards.
The rest of the Palisade tree is unchanged from July. The SEL AWD still carries the 0.00202 (4.85% APR) rate subsidy with a 68% residual and $0 cash at ~$559. The SE FWD is the cheapest way in at ~$520. Note the XRT Pro AWD at ~$608: it carries $2,750 in cash and a 66% residual, so it undercuts the Limited FWD by $30/month despite a $100 higher sticker.

The 7-seat and 8-seat SEL cells carry identical terms, so one row covers each drive type. Palisade Limited AWD: July to August
July ~$658/mo to August ~$604/mo. That is $54/month cheaper on Lease Cash alone, $1,500 to $3,300. Same 0.0024 rate, same 67% residual. Nothing else in the Palisade tree moved.
Verdict: Palisade
Lease the Limited AWD at ~$604/month. It is the biggest cut in the lineup and it undercuts its own FWD twin by $34/month. If the payment is too high, the SEL AWD at ~$559 with the 4.85% APR subsidy and a 68% residual is the value pick, and it takes $0 in cash to get there.
Palisade Hybrid: Three Trims Get $1,800, the Rest Sit Still
Three Palisade Hybrid cells went from $0 to $1,800 in Lease Cash, each worth $54/month. The Limited FWD fell from ~$775 to ~$720, and the SEL Premium AWD in both 7-seat and 8-seat layouts fell from ~$666 to ~$612. Nothing else in the family changed.
That cash add flattens the middle of the range. The SEL Premium AWD at ~$612 now costs $2/month more than the SEL AWD at ~$610, despite a $2,440 higher sticker. It also carries the family's lowest rate at 0.0023 (5.52% APR). Take the Premium.

Palisade Hybrid: July to August
Three trims went from $0 to $1,800 in Lease Cash, each $54/month cheaper. SEL Premium AWD (7 and 8 seat) ~$666 to ~$612. Limited FWD ~$775 to ~$720. Every other Palisade Hybrid trim is unchanged from July.
Verdict: Palisade Hybrid
The SEL Premium AWD at ~$612/month is the one to take. The new $1,800 in cash buys you $2,440 of extra sticker for $2/month over the plain SEL AWD, and it holds the family's best rate at 5.52% APR. Above that the payments climb fast: the Calligraphy AWD at ~$895 carries $250 in cash and is not worth chasing.
IONIQ 5: Residuals Cut Across the Board, Every Trim Costs More
The IONIQ 5 is the one place Hyundai took money back in August. Residuals fell on all eight trims, by 1 to 3 points, and Lease Cash was trimmed on five of them. Every payment went up $19 to $29/month. Money factors came down slightly on most trims, and it was nowhere near enough to cover it.
The RWD trims took the worst of it. The SE RWD residual went from 52% to 49% and the payment climbed from ~$415 to ~$444. The SEL RWD lost a point of residual and $750 in cash, going from ~$458 to ~$486. The SE Standard Range RWD now sits on a 44% residual, the weakest number in the entire Hyundai lineup, at ~$440.
The AWD trims held up better. The Limited AWD is the only trim that gained cash, up to $10,000, and its money factor dropped to 0.00232 (5.57% APR). It still costs $19/month more than July because the residual fell three points to 51%.
| IONIQ 5 Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |

IONIQ 5: July to August
Every trim is more expensive. SE RWD ~$415 to ~$444 on a 52% to 49% residual cut. SE Standard Range RWD ~$411 to ~$440. SEL RWD ~$458 to ~$486. Limited RWD ~$502 to ~$530. The AWD trims rose $19 to $20/month. Range: $19 to $29/month more.
Verdict: IONIQ 5
If you were going to lease an IONIQ 5, you should have done it in July. The SE AWD at ~$455/month is the least bad pick: it went up the least of the volume trims and holds the best residual at 52%. Skip the SE Standard Range at ~$440. Paying nearly the same money on a 44% residual is the worst depreciation math in the lineup.
Tucson: SE FWD Slips to ~$316, the Cheapest SUV Hyundai Leases
Every Tucson trim got $4 to $5/month cheaper. The SE FWD leads it: the money factor dropped to 0.00229 (5.50% APR), Lease Cash rose to $4,750, and the payment fell from ~$321 to ~$316/month. That is the lowest SUV payment Hyundai offers.
The XRT trims picked up the sharpest rate cuts. The XRT AWD went from 0.00238 to 0.0023 (5.52% APR) at ~$398, and the XRT FWD from 0.00241 to 0.00232 (5.57% APR) at ~$378. Both hold their cash. The Limited AWD is the odd one: its cash fell from $5,500 to $4,500, but a three-point residual jump to 61% still left it $4/month cheaper at ~$487.
| Tucson Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE FWD | $31,050 | 0.00229 | 5.50% | 60% | ~$316 |

SEL FWD (~$349), Limited FWD (~$467), and the SEL Plus and SEL Premium sub-trims are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Tucson: July to August
All eight trims fell $4 to $5/month. SE FWD ~$321 to ~$316 on a rate cut to 0.00229 and $250 more cash. XRT FWD ~$383 to ~$378. XRT AWD ~$402 to ~$398. Limited AWD ~$491 to ~$487.
Verdict: Tucson
The SE FWD at ~$316/month is the best mainstream lease in the lineup and it got a little better. If you need all-wheel drive, take the SEL AWD at ~$368 over the SE AWD at ~$358: an extra point of residual and a lower rate for $10/month. The XRT AWD at ~$398 is the enthusiast pick and carries the family's second-best rate.
Tucson Hybrid: New Lineup, Launch Rates Not Yet Confirmed
Hyundai re-split the Tucson Hybrid lineup for August. It added front-drive SE and SEL trims below the AWD range and a blacked-out Night AWD at the top. Every cell in the family is new to our data this month, so there is no July baseline to compare against and no month-over-month change to report.
Treat the rates below as a launch program rather than a settled deal. The Night AWD shows 0.00088 (2.11% APR) and the Limited AWD 0.00117 (2.81% APR), both with $0 Lease Cash. Those are unusually low for a Hyundai hybrid and we have only one month of data behind them. The volume trims look conventional: the SE FWD carries $4,250 in cash at 0.0024 (5.76% APR).
Launch program, rate not yet confirmed
All seven Tucson Hybrid trims are new to the August sheet under a re-split lineup. We have no prior month to corroborate them, so the numbers below are shown for reference only. Confirm the buy rate and the Lease Cash with the dealer in writing before you treat any of these as a deal.

*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE FWD $4,250; Blue SE AWD $3,500; SEL AWD $3,250; SEL Convenience AWD $2,250; Limited AWD $0; Night AWD $0). All seven Tucson Hybrid cells are new to the August sheet, so no month-over-month change is shown. SEL FWD (~$392) is omitted here. Stickers are Hyundai MSRP plus the $1,600 26MY Tucson freight charge. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Tucson Hybrid
Wait a month before treating the Limited or Night as a deal. A 2.11% APR on a hybrid Tucson with $0 cash is the kind of number that either holds and becomes the best lease in the lineup, or turns out to be a launch artifact. If you want a Tucson Hybrid now, the SE FWD at ~$372/month sits on a conventional 5.76% rate and $4,250 in cash, which is the trim least likely to be restated.
Tucson PHEV: The Limited Gets 0.77% APR and Loses All Its Cash
The Tucson Plug-In Hybrid Limited money factor collapsed from 0.00235 to 0.00032 (0.77% APR). That is the lowest published rate in the August Hyundai lineup by a wide margin. At the same time Hyundai took away all $4,750 of its Lease Cash and cut a point of residual.
Net effect: $9/month. The Limited went from ~$547 to ~$538. A near-zero rate headline is worth a lot less than it sounds once the cash disappears.
The SEL kept the cash and stayed the sensible trim. It runs 0.00233 (5.59% APR) with $4,750 in Lease Cash and a 66% residual, the highest of any Tucson, at ~$410/month. That is $5/month cheaper than July.

A 0.77% rate is not a 0.77% deal
The Limited traded $4,750 in Lease Cash for a money factor cut from 0.00235 to 0.00032. The payment moved $9. When a dealer leads with the APR, ask what the Lease Cash was last month. Rate subsidies and cash subsidies come out of the same budget.
Verdict: Tucson PHEV
Take the SEL at ~$410/month. It has the cash, the 66% residual, and it is a plug-in for less than a gas Santa Fe SE FWD. The Limited's 0.77% APR is real but it costs $128/month more, and none of that gap is the rate.
Elantra: SE at ~$273 Is the Cheapest Lease Hyundai Sells
The Elantra SE holds the floor at ~$273/month, $3/month better than July. Lease Cash rose to $3,000 and the money factor went up to 0.00241 (5.78% APR). Cash won that trade, barely.
The N-Line is the rate story. Its money factor dropped from 0.00243 to 0.00221 (5.30% APR), the lowest in the family, while its last $250 of cash went to zero. It still landed $3/month cheaper at ~$402. Everything between the SE and the N-Line runs $1,250 or less in cash, which is why the payment ladder climbs so fast.
| Elantra Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE IVT | $23,870 | 0.00241 | 5.78% | 59% | ~$273 |
| SEL Sport IVT | $24,995 | 0.00239 | 5.74% | 62% | ~$323 |
| Limited IVT | $28,420 | 0.00238 | 5.71% | 64% | ~$373 |
| N-Line | $30,645 | 0.00221 | 5.30% | 66% | ~$402 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE $3,000; SEL Sport $1,250; Limited $750; N-Line $0). SEL Sport Premium (~$343) and the SEL Sport Plus are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Elantra
The SE at ~$273/month is the only Elantra worth leasing, and it is the cheapest lease in the lineup. The $50/month step to the SEL Sport buys three points of residual and not much else. The N-Line's 5.30% APR is the best rate in the family, but $0 cash keeps it at ~$402.
Elantra Hybrid: The Blue Now Carries Hyundai's Worst Rate
The Elantra Hybrid Blue took the ugliest rate move of the month. Its money factor rose from 0.00242 to 0.00258 (6.19% APR), the highest rate in the August lineup, and its residual fell from 62% to 59%. Hyundai covered it with $1,000 more Lease Cash, so the payment still came down $4 to ~$322/month.
That is the trap worth naming. The Blue looks fine on the payment line and terrible on the rate line. If the dealer marks the money factor up even two points, you are financing a compact hybrid at well over 6.5% with nothing to show for it. Ask for the buy rate in writing.
The Limited is the better structure: 0.00233 (5.59% APR) and a 64% residual, the family's best on both counts. It costs ~$422 because it carries only $250 in cash.
| Elantra Hybrid Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blue | $26,695 | 0.00258 | 6.19% | 59% | ~$322 |
| SEL Sport | $27,425 | 0.00236 | 5.66% | 62% | ~$364 |
| Limited | $31,045 | 0.00233 | 5.59% | 64% | ~$422 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (Blue $3,000; SEL Sport $1,000; Limited $250). The SEL Sport Plus is on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Elantra Hybrid Blue: July to August
Money factor 0.00242 to 0.00258 (5.81% to 6.19% APR) and residual 62% to 59%. Lease Cash rose $2,000 to $3,000 to cover it, so the payment fell $4 to ~$322. Cheaper on the surface, worse underneath.
Verdict: Elantra Hybrid
The Blue at ~$322/month is still the cheapest hybrid Hyundai leases, but get the 0.00258 buy rate confirmed on paper before you sign. If you would rather not sit on the worst rate in the lineup, the SEL Sport at ~$364 runs 5.66% APR and a better residual for $42/month more.
Kona: Unchanged From July, Every Trim
Nothing moved. Same rates, same residuals, same cash. The SE FWD still holds $3,250 Lease Cash at 0.00234 (5.62% APR) and ~$307/month, and the SE AWD is ~$21/month more at ~$328. The SEL Sport AWD carries the family's best rate at 0.00227 (5.45% APR).
| Kona Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE FWD | $25,500 | 0.00234 | 5.62% | 56% | ~$307 |
| SE AWD | $27,000 | 0.00242 | 5.81% | 58% | ~$328 |
| SEL Sport AWD | $28,325 | 0.00227 | 5.45% | 59% | ~$350 |
| Limited AWD | $34,035 | 0.00239 | 5.74% | 62% | ~$446 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE FWD $3,250; SE AWD $3,000; SEL Sport AWD $2,500; Limited AWD $1,500). SEL Sport FWD (~$330), SEL Premium AWD (~$377), and Limited FWD (~$434) are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Kona
Unchanged from July. Same math, same verdict: the SE FWD at ~$307/month is the play and the SE AWD at ~$328 is a cheap way into all-wheel drive. Above the SE trims the cash drops off and the payments climb faster than the content.
Venue: Cheap Sticker, 55% to 57% Residual
The Venue money factors each dropped a point or two, worth $1/month. Otherwise it is the same car it was in July: low sticker, low residual, almost no cash. The SE runs ~$344 and the SEL ~$364.
The trim to avoid is the SEL w/Two-Tone Roof. It costs $225 less on the sticker than the plain SEL and leases for $29/month more, because it carries a 0.00242 rate, a 55% residual, and $0 cash against the SEL's 0.00228, 57%, and $500.
| Venue Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE | $22,150 | 0.00234 | 5.62% | 56% | ~$344 |
| SEL | $24,425 | 0.00228 | 5.47% | 57% | ~$364 |
| SEL w/Two-Tone Roof | $24,200 | 0.00242 | 5.81% | 55% | ~$393 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE $250; SEL $500; SEL w/Two-Tone Roof $0). Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Venue
Skip it. A ~$344/month payment on a $22,150 car is a bad trade, and the 56% residual is why. The Elantra SE costs ~$273 with more car attached. If you are set on a Venue, take the SEL at ~$364 and never the Two-Tone Roof.
Sonata: SEL Sport AWD Is No Longer the Worst Rate, Still Skip It
Every Sonata money factor came down a point or two, worth $1/month each. The SEL Sport AWD dropped from 0.00258 to 0.00256 (6.14% APR), which means it lost the title of Hyundai's worst rate to the Elantra Hybrid Blue. It is still bad.
The AWD costs $20/month more than the SEL Sport FWD at ~$430 versus ~$410, and $1,500 of that gap is sticker. The rest is the rate: 6.14% APR against the FWD's 0.00229 (5.50% APR), the best in the family. The SE FWD at ~$358 carries the most cash at $2,750.
| Sonata Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE FWD | $29,050 | 0.00238 | 5.71% | 59% | ~$358 |
| SEL Sport FWD | $30,750 | 0.00229 | 5.50% | 59% | ~$410 |
| SEL Sport AWD | $32,250 | 0.00256 | 6.14% | 59% | ~$430 |
| N-Line FWD | $37,650 | 0.00239 | 5.74% | 62% | ~$528 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE FWD $2,750; SEL Sport FWD $1,750; SEL Sport AWD $2,250; N-Line FWD $500). Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Sonata
Lease the SE FWD at ~$358/month. It has the cash and it is $52/month under the SEL Sport FWD for a car that is nearly as well equipped. Skip the SEL Sport AWD: 6.14% APR is a penalty rate and all-wheel drive is not worth $20/month plus the worst money factor in the family.
Sonata Hybrid: Blue at ~$412, Effectively Unchanged
All three trims shed a point of money factor, worth $1/month. The Blue leads at ~$412/month on 0.00233 (5.59% APR), a 60% residual, and $1,250 in cash. The SEL carries the most cash at $3,000 but sits on a 54% residual, the worst in the family, which is why it costs ~$461.
| Sonata Hybrid Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| Blue | $30,295 | 0.00233 | 5.59% | 60% | ~$412 |
| SEL | $33,545 | 0.00238 | 5.71% | 54% | ~$461 |
| Limited | $38,250 | 0.00239 | 5.74% | 59% | ~$543 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (Blue $1,250; SEL $3,000; Limited $1,250). Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Sonata Hybrid
Blue at ~$412/month or nothing. The SEL's $3,000 in cash looks generous until you see the 54% residual eat all of it and $49/month more besides. The gas Sonata SE at ~$358 is the better lease if the hybrid is not a must.
Santa Cruz: Unchanged From July
Not one Santa Cruz cell moved. The SE FWD holds at ~$415/month with $1,250 in cash, and the SE AWD at ~$450 carries the family's joint-best rate at 0.00231 (5.54% APR). Cash tops out at $1,250 across the whole lineup, the thinnest support of any Hyundai model.
Watch the top of the range. The XRT AWD carries $0 Lease Cash and lands at ~$637, only $5/month under the Limited AWD despite a $1,995 lower sticker.
| Santa Cruz Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| SE FWD | $30,995 | 0.00235 | 5.64% | 61% | ~$415 |
| SEL AWD | $35,500 | 0.00231 | 5.54% | 61% | ~$494 |
| XRT AWD | $42,950 | 0.00232 | 5.57% | 60% | ~$637 |
| Limited AWD | $44,945 | 0.0024 | 5.76% | 60% | ~$642 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (SE FWD $1,250; SEL AWD $750; XRT AWD $0; Limited AWD $1,000). SE AWD (~$450), SEL FWD (~$470), and the SEL Activity FWD and AWD are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: Santa Cruz
Unchanged from July. The SE FWD at ~$415/month is the only Santa Cruz that leases sensibly, and even that is Santa Fe money for a smaller vehicle. Above the SE the cash runs out and the payments get hard to justify. Negotiate the sticker, because the program is not going to help you.
IONIQ 9: $18,000 Cash Holds, S RWD Still ~$486
The IONIQ 9 kept the biggest incentives in the lineup while the IONIQ 5 lost ground. Cash still runs from $16,250 to $18,000, residuals did not move, and the only change is a one-point money factor trim on five trims worth $1/month.
The S RWD holds at ~$486/month on $16,250 in cash, which remains the striking number here: a $60,555 three-row electric SUV at a mainstream payment. The SEL AWD at ~$546 pairs $17,250 in cash with the family's best residual at 57%.
| IONIQ 9 Trim | MSRP | MF (36mo) | APR | RV (36/12K) | ~Monthly* |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| S RWD | $60,555 | 0.00232 | 5.57% | 55% | ~$486 |
| SE AWD | $64,365 | 0.00238 | 5.71% | 54% | ~$516 |
| SEL AWD | $67,920 | 0.00239 | 5.74% | 57% | ~$546 |
| Performance Calligraphy AWD | $76,590 | 0.0024 | 5.76% | 55% | ~$752 |
*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K, Northeast region. Cap = MSRP − Lease Cash (S RWD $16,250; SE AWD $18,000; SEL AWD $17,250; Performance Calligraphy AWD $16,250). Performance Limited AWD (~$653) and Performance Calligraphy Design AWD (~$806) are on the August sheet and omitted here. Data: Hyundai Motor Finance, August 2026.
Verdict: IONIQ 9
The S RWD at ~$486/month is the standout EV lease in this lineup, and with the IONIQ 5 getting worse it is now the better Hyundai EV buy outright. Step to the SEL AWD at ~$546 if you want all-wheel drive and the 57% residual. The Performance trims past ~$752 are where the cash stops keeping pace with the sticker.
Payment Math & Assumptions
- Cap cost = MSRP minus Lease Cash. No dealer discount, no extra down payment. Every $1,000 you negotiate off MSRP cuts roughly $28/month.
- Term: 36 months / 12,000 miles per year. All residuals use the 12K tier. The August pull returned 24, 36, 39, and 48 month terms; every number in this post is the 36-month cell.
- Pre-tax and pre-fees. Add state lease tax, acquisition fee, dealer doc fee, and the first payment due at signing.
- MF is the published base rate. Dealer markup on the money factor adds directly to the rent charge. Confirm the buy-rate MF before you sign.
- Data basis: Hyundai Motor Finance rate sheets, Northeast region, August 2026. Money factors and residuals change monthly.
- Not priced here: the IONIQ 5 N and the 2027 Kona, Palisade, and Palisade Hybrid all have August program data but no confirmed sticker in our table yet, so we left them out rather than guess a payment.
Tax, registration, title, and dealer doc fees are excluded and vary by state. Your drive-off cost depends on your state's lease tax treatment, which can add $0 to $1,500 or more at signing.
