Genesis Lease Deals September 2026: Every Model Ranked

Genesis rewrote 53 of 66 trims and the biggest payment change in the entire lineup is six dollars.

QuoteDefender Team ·

Genesis rewrote 53 of its 66 trims this month and the largest payment change in the entire lineup is $6 a month. Rates moved, residuals moved, lease cash moved, and on 27 of those trims the net effect is exactly zero.

The one genuinely strange thing Genesis did was swap a program between drivetrains. On the G70 3.3T Prestige Graphite, the RWD money factor fell from 0.00235 to 0.00077 while its lease cash went to zero, and the AWD went the other way, from 0.00107 to 0.00233 with $4,250 of cash appearing. Same car, two drivetrains, programs traded. Net effect: $6 down on the RWD, $5 up on the AWD.

The Lineup, Cheapest First

The G70 2.5T RWD at ~$546 is the cheapest Genesis lease and the G90 3.5T E-SC Prestige Black at ~$1,654 is the most expensive. Genesis prices 66 leaseable trims this month, so this is a selection: the cheapest and the most expensive of each model year, every trim whose payment changed, and a middle trim to show each model's shape.

35 of the 66 trims carry lease cash, from $250 up to $13,250. That is the widest cash spread of any brand we track, and where it lands tells you what Genesis is trying to move: almost all of it sits on the 2026 G80 and the outgoing 2026 GV70 and GV80.

*Pre-tax, 36mo/12K miles, Northeast region. Cap cost = MSRP minus the non-conditional lease cash shown, no down payment and no dealer discount. MSRP is Genesis base MSRP plus the $1,495 destination charge Genesis applies across the brand. The GV70, the 2027 G80 and the GV80 Coupe are all-wheel drive only, so their trims carry no drive label. Data: Genesis Finance, September 2026.

Verdict: September Genesis

There is no news here, and that is the news. An August quote on any Genesis is still the September deal within six dollars. Shop on the cars rather than the calendar: the 2026 G80 at ~$720 with $10,750 behind it is the best thing in the lineup and has been for months.

These tables are one configuration.

36 months, 12,000 miles, Northeast. Your term, mileage, and state move the payment. Get your exact number, free.

What These Payments Actually Are

Every payment above is calculated at full MSRP, nothing down, before tax. No dealer discount, no trade, no fees. They are a ceiling, not a target. Nobody should pay these numbers and plenty of people will pay less.

Use them as a measuring stick. Put your retailer's quote next to the row here and the gap tells you how much discount and how much markup are in the deal. A quote above this number on the same term and mileage means something was added that the program does not require.

The conversion you need

$1,000 off the selling price is about $30 a month at 36 months. Run it in reverse on any quote: the difference between your number and the row above, divided by 30, is roughly the discount the retailer already gave you, in thousands.

Three things move a real quote away from this baseline. A discount pulls it down, and that is the only one that saves you money. Money down pulls it down too, but you already paid it, so the payment looks better while the total does not change. Tax and fees push it up, by $0 to well over $100 a month depending on your state. A New Jersey lease and a Texas lease on the same GV70 are not the same payment.

Verdict: Read these as ceilings

Paying less than the table means a discount is working. Paying more on the same term and mileage means you should ask what was added. On a Genesis the first thing to confirm is that the lease cash, which can be five figures, actually reached your cap cost.

53 Changes, Six Dollars

Genesis changed something on 53 of 66 trims. Twenty-seven of those changes move the payment by nothing at all, and of the 26 that do move it, the largest is $6 a month. Forty trims are untouched outright.

The mechanism is the one Kia used this month, executed more precisely. Genesis cut residuals a point or two, then cut rates or added cash by almost exactly the offsetting amount. The G90 3.5T is the clearest example: the money factor fell from 0.00112 to 0.00075, which sounds like a real cut, while the residual went from 51% to 49%. Payment: ~$1,441 to ~$1,440.

This matters because the rate is the number a retailer will show you and the residual is the number they will not. A money factor dropping by a third reads like a better month. It was worth one dollar.

August to September, in full

Six trims improved by $2 or more. One improved by $6. One got worse by $5. Everything else landed within a dollar of August or did not move. There is no month-over-month story here beyond the G70 swap.

Verdict: Timing a Genesis lease

Do not wait for a better month on the strength of a rate change. Genesis has now moved rates twice without moving payments. Watch the lease cash instead, which is where this brand actually spends money, and buy when the car you want has five figures on it.

The G70 Graphite: Two Drivetrains Trade Programs

The oddest thing in the September sheet. On the G70 3.3T Prestige Graphite, Genesis moved the subsidized rate from the AWD to the RWD and moved the cash the other way.

The RWD went from 0.00235 to 0.00077 and lost all $4,000 of its lease cash. The AWD went from 0.00107 to 0.00233 and gained $4,250. Both lost a residual point. After all that, the RWD is ~$831 and the AWD is ~$876, six dollars better and five dollars worse than August.

It is worth knowing because the two cars now look completely different on a worksheet while leasing for nearly the same money. If a retailer shows you the RWD at 0.00077 and calls it the deal of the month, the reason it has that rate is that it has no cash.

Verdict: G70 Graphite

Take the RWD at ~$831 if you want one, on the cheaper rate and the $58,395 sticker. But the plain 2.5T RWD at ~$546 is the G70 to actually lease: $7,500 of cash on a car $13,450 cheaper, and it is the least expensive Genesis you can put in a driveway.

G80: The 2026 Has the Cash, the 2027 Has the Rate

The 2026 G80 carries the most lease cash Genesis is spending: $10,750 on the 2.5T AWD and $13,250 on the 3.5T Prestige Black. That puts a $59,945 luxury sedan at ~$720 a month, which is less than a GV80 2.5T RWD and barely more than a GV70.

The 2027 G80 takes the opposite approach: almost no cash, and the cheapest rates in the entire Genesis lineup. The 3.5T Prestige Black runs 0.00025, or 0.60% APR, and the 2.5T AWD runs 0.00032. Those are close to free money, and they still do not beat the 2026 car, because $10,750 of cap reduction is worth more than a rate cut on a three-year lease.

Verdict: G80

Lease the 2026 2.5T AWD at ~$720. It is the best value in the Genesis lineup and it is not close. The 2027 car is the newer one with the better rate, and it still costs more per month, so take the 2026 while the cash lasts.

GV60, Electrified GV70 and Magma: No Cash at All

Genesis is spending nothing on its electric cars. The 2027 GV60, the 2027 Electrified GV70 and the new GV60 Magma all carry $0 lease cash, and it shows. The 2027 GV60 RWD leases at ~$824 on a $47,745 sticker, which is more than a 2026 G80 at ~$720 on a sticker $12,200 higher.

The residuals are the problem. The 2026 GV60 holds 46%, the lowest in the Genesis lineup, against 66% for a 2027 GV70. An electric car giving up more than half its value in three years with no cash to offset it is not a lease, it is a rental.

The GV60 Magma is new this month at ~$1,272 on a $71,445 sticker, with a 49% residual and no support. It is a 600 horsepower halo car and it is priced like one.

Verdict: The electric Genesis lineup

Skip all of it as a lease this month. With no cash and residuals in the forties, every electric Genesis prices above a better-equipped gas car from the same showroom. If you want one, buy it or get a large discount off the selling price first.

A Six-Point Rate Spread

Genesis rates run from 0.00025 to 0.00287, or 0.60% to 6.89% APR. That is the widest spread of any brand we price, and it means there is no single markup test on a Genesis. The rate depends entirely on which car Genesis is trying to move.

The pattern is clean once you see it. Outgoing model years get cash, incoming ones get rate. The 2027 G80 sits near zero; the 2027 GV80 Coupe 3.5T Advanced sits at 0.00287, the worst rate in the lineup, on a car that only just arrived.

The markup test

There is no lineup-wide number to check against here, so ask for the money factor for your exact trim and model year in writing, and ask what the lease cash is separately. On a brand where one car is at 0.00025 and another at 0.00287, a marked up rate hides easily.

Verdict: Negotiating a Genesis

Get the money factor and the lease cash confirmed separately and in writing, because Genesis trades one against the other constantly and a quote that shows only a payment hides which lever moved. Then negotiate the selling price, which no program touches.

Four Terms, and One of Them Is 33 Months

Genesis returned 24, 33, 36 and 48 months this month. The 33-month term is unusual enough to be worth naming: almost no captive offers one, and it exists here as a lease-loyalty length rather than a shopping option.

The residual ladder is steep at both ends. The G70 2.5T RWD holds 61% at 24 months and 43% at 48, an eighteen point drop across two years. The G90 falls from 59% to 40% over the same span. At 48 months you are paying for more than half the car.

Trim24mo36mo48mo

G90 3.5T59%49%40%

Residual percentages at 12K miles/year, Northeast region. The September pull also returned a 33-month term. Data: Genesis Finance, September 2026.

Verdict: Take 36 months

36 months is the right term on every Genesis. 24 holds a much better residual but concentrates the depreciation into two years, and 48 gives up eight to eighteen points depending on the model. Ask for 33 months only if a retailer offers it against a loyalty program.

Payment Math & Assumptions

All monthly payments in this post are pre-tax estimates based on a 36-month term, 12,000 miles per year, and the Northeast region program. Cap cost = MSRP minus the non-conditional lease cash only. No down payment, no dealer discount, no trade. Residual is applied to MSRP per the program sheet. Conditional money such as loyalty and conquest is excluded because not everyone qualifies.

MSRP is Genesis base MSRP plus the $1,495 destination charge, which Genesis applies at the same rate across the brand. Every one of the 66 trims Genesis leases in September is priced here, with no trim held back and no month-over-month comparison missing.

Tax, registration, title, acquisition and retailer doc fees are excluded and vary by state. Rates and residuals are region-specific, so a Northeast number is not a California number.
