Subaru Lease Deals September 2026: Every Model Ranked

Subaru made 52 of its 53 comparable trims more expensive to lease in September. The one that held is the Outback Premium, still ~$441.

The electric SUVs took the hit. The 2026 Solterra, Trailseeker and Uncharted each lost $500 of lease cash, down to $2,500, and gave up three to seven residual points on top of it. Their payments rose $37 to $58. The gas and hybrid models that moved rose $2 to $18.

The Lineup, Cheapest First

The 2026 Crosstrek Base at ~$330 is the cheapest Subaru lease and the 2027 Trailseeker Touring at ~$726 is the most expensive. Subaru leases 71 trims across 2026 and 2027. This table leaves out the Series.Yellow editions, the Solterra Limited XT and the Ascent's 8-passenger twins, which lease within a dollar of the 7-passenger cars.

No gas or hybrid Subaru carries lease cash this month. Only the electric SUVs do: $2,500 on every 2026 Solterra, Trailseeker and Uncharted, and $1,500 on every 2027.

What These Payments Are

Every payment here is full MSRP, nothing down, pre-tax. No discount, no trade, no money down. That makes them a ceiling, not a target. They exist so you can measure a dealer quote against the program the lender actually published.

$1,000 off the selling price is about $30 a month at 36 months. That is the only conversion you need. A Forester Premium at ~$457 with $2,000 off the sticker should land near $397. If a dealer shows you $440 on that car and calls it a discount, the discount went somewhere other than your payment.

The Electric SUVs Took the Hit

All ten 2026 electric trims lost $500 of lease cash, from $3,000 to $2,500, and every one lost residual value: three points on the Uncharted, four or five on the Trailseeker, five to seven on the Solterra. By the $30-per-$1,000 rule the cash cut is only about $15 a month. The residual did the rest.

The 2026 Trailseeker rose $50 to $58, the most in the lineup, with the Limited now ~$658. The 2026 Uncharted rose $48 to $54 and is the only one of the three where Subaru raised the rate too, by a sixth to nearly a third. The Premium is now ~$545.

2026 or 2027

Five Subarus lease in both model years this month, and the answer differs by model. Comparing the same trim across both years:

Every 2027 electric trim costs more than its 2026 twin, from $2 on the Solterra Touring XT to $37 on the Uncharted GT. The stickers are only $25 apart. The difference is the cash: $1,500 on the 2027 against $2,500 on the 2026.

The BRZ goes the same way: the 2027 costs $28 to $32 more on all three trims. The Ascent is the exception. The 2027 leases for $13 to $24 less than the 2026 on all five trims, even though its sticker runs $45 to $145 higher.

Gas and Hybrid: Small Rises Almost Everywhere

33 of the 42 gas and hybrid trims that changed gave up a residual point. The Forester rose $8 to $18, with the Sport, Limited and Touring Hybrids at the top of that range, each up $18. The WRX rose $10 to $11, the Impreza $10 and the 2026 BRZ $12 to $16.

The Crosstrek moved on rate instead. Subaru raised it by about a fifth on the Base, Premium, Limited and Wilderness, and payments rose $7 to $11. The Base is still the cheapest Subaru lease at ~$330.

The Outback barely moved. Five trims rose $2 to $4 and the Premium held at ~$441. The 2026 Ascent rose $2 on the Premium and up to $15 on the Touring and Onyx Edition Touring.

Hybrid or Gas, Manual or Automatic

The Forester Touring Hybrid leases for $2 more than the gas Touring, ~$582 against ~$580, on a sticker $1,550 higher. Subaru gives each Forester Hybrid a rate roughly a fifth to a quarter lower than the gas car of the same grade, and on the Touring that nearly pays for the hybrid. Lower down it does not: the Premium Hybrid costs $14 more than the gas Premium, and the Sport and Limited Hybrids cost $32 and $31 more.

The Crosstrek Hybrids get no such help. The Sport Hybrid runs $45 over the gas Sport and the Limited Hybrid $30 over the gas Limited.

The manual is the cheaper lease wherever you get a choice. The BRZ Limited manual saves $11 a month in 2026 and $10 in 2027 over the automatic, and the WRX Limited manual saves $18 over the SPT at ~$575.

No Single Subaru Rate

Subaru does not run one rate across the lineup, so there is no single number to hold a dealer to. Within a model, though, the rates sit close together. The Crosstrek's seven trims sit within about one point of APR of each other, and the Outback's six within less than that.

The spread widens where Subaru is steering buyers. The Forester spans a little over two points: the gas Base carries its lowest rate, and the hybrids sit below every other gas Forester. The electric lines span three to four points, and the Solterra's highest rate is about ten times its lowest.

Terms: What a Longer Lease Gives Up

The terms below run 24, 36, 39, 42 and 48 months. Against 36 months, a 39-month lease gives up two to four residual points and a 42-month lease two to seven. The 48-month lease gives up seven to eighteen. The BRZ and WRX lose the least, seven to nine points; the Ascent, Outback and Crosstrek lose the most, fifteen to eighteen.

Payment Math & Assumptions

All monthly payments in this post are pre-tax estimates based on a 36-month term, 12,000 miles per year, and the Northeast region program. Cap cost = MSRP minus the non-conditional lease cash only. No down payment, no dealer discount, no trade. Conditional money such as loyalty, military and educator programs is excluded because not everyone qualifies.

MSRP is Subaru's MSRP plus Destination & Delivery, which Subaru sets per model and per year: $1,195 on the WRX, Impreza and 2026 BRZ, $1,245 on the 2027 BRZ, $1,420 on the Crosstrek, $1,450 on the other 2026 models, $1,475 on the 2027 electric SUVs and $1,495 on the 2027 Ascent. Tax, registration, title, acquisition and dealer doc fees are excluded and vary by state. Rates and residuals are region-specific, so a Northeast number is not a California number.
